Google Forms & Classroom Instructions

Accessing COVID Curricula Google Forms to Share With Your Students

  1. The Google Form for each unit will be emailed to you along with the curriculum for that day.
  2. Once you receive the email, sign in to your Google account (you are most likely already signed in).
  3. Right click on the form and select ‘Make a Copy’
  4. Once this is completed, a notification will pop up on the bottom telling you a copy has been created and where you can find it in Google Drive. Click on ‘Show File Location’ or ‘My Drive’ at the top left.
  5. You now have a copy of the Google Form for that unit which you can edit, customize, and share with your students. You may want to rename the file or delete ‘Copy of’ at the beginning of the file name.

  2. Choose the class you would like to share Google form with.
  3. At the top, click on ‘Classwork’
  4. Click ‘+ Create’ and choose ‘Assignment’.
  5. Type a title and provide instructions for the assignment. On the right side of the screen, you can choose who it gets assigned to, choose a point value for the assignment or make it ungraded, and selected a due date and time.
  6. Click ‘Add’ and select ‘Google Drive’.
  7. Select the copy of the COVID Curriculum lesson that you saved to your Google Drive. It should be one of the first files you see under the ‘Recent’ menu. Click ‘Add’.
  8. Click ‘Assign’ at the top right and you are done!
  9. Google Classroom will now record who has completed the Google form lesson. More advanced Google Classroom users may want to assign the form as a Quiz assignment and assign point values in the form.
  10. You can review the student responses in Google Drive by selecting the Good Form and choosing the ‘Responses’ tab at the top.
